By booking an excursion through reservesiankaan.com, you fully accept our sales and liability policies detailed below. These terms are designed to ensure smooth organization and a high-quality experience for every participant. Please read them carefully before completing your reservation.

1. General Information

Reservesiankaan.com is an independent agency specializing in small-group and private tours inside the pristine Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve in Mexico, guided by an English-speaking guide for your comfort.

2. Bookings and Payments

• A booking is only considered confirmed after payment of a security deposit.
• The remaining balance must be paid in cash (MXN) on the day of the excursion directly to your guide, unless otherwise stated.
• Prices are listed per person unless explicitly stated for private tours, in which case a per-group rate applies.

3. Cancellations and Modifications

• All cancellation or modification requests must be made in writing (email or WhatsApp).
• Cancellation policy:

– More than 7 days before: full refund of the deposit.

– Between 3 and 6 days before: 50% of the deposit is retained.

– Less than 72 hours or no-show: no refund.

• In case of bad weather or official closure, the tour will be rescheduled or refunded (excluding bank fees).

4. No-Show (Missing the Pickup)

• If you fail to arrive at the agreed meeting time, we will wait a maximum of 10 minutes before departing without you.
• In such cases, the deposit will be forfeited and no refund will be made.
• Please double-check pickup details sent the day before to avoid misunderstandings.

5. Schedules and Itineraries

• Exact pickup times are sent the day before the excursion before 8:00 PM (Mexico time).
• Itineraries may vary depending on weather and local conditions. Please do not contact us for this information before that deadline.

6. Snorkeling and Wildlife Watching

• Marine conditions (currents, visibility) can affect snorkeling quality.
• In rare cases, snorkeling may be cancelled by the local harbor authorities for safety reasons.
• Wildlife sightings in their natural habitat cannot be guaranteed.

7. Loaned Equipment

• Any loaned equipment (e.g., snorkeling gear) remains your responsibility during the tour.
• In case of loss or damage, replacement costs will be charged.

8. Respect and Right of Refusal

• Reservesiankaan.com reserves the right to refuse or terminate services if a participant fails to follow safety instructions or behaves inappropriately.

9. Privacy and Image Rights

• Your personal data is confidential and will never be shared without your consent.
• Photos taken during the tour may be used on our social media for promotional purposes.
• If you wish to have a photo of yourself removed, simply let us know.

10. Insurance

• We recommend having personal travel insurance that covers water-based and outdoor activities.
• Our agency has liability insurance within the scope of our services, but it does not cover individual incidents.

11. Environmental Responsibility

The Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve is a protected natural treasure. Each visitor agrees to:

– Avoid sunscreen and insect repellent in the water, even biodegradable.
– Avoid littering.
– Respect wildlife, plants, and the guide’s instructions.

12. Disputes

In case of dispute, we will first seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the competent jurisdiction will be in Quintana Roo, Mexico.
